ALCO-WSU 2014 to Present!
ALCO started in 2014 to provide help and support to the community in Pullman and Moscow, therefore the Arabic school of Washington was established to organize the necessary materials and curriculum to achieve its mission as stated in the constitution as follows:
We the graduate students of the Washington State University College of Education establish the Arabic Language Organization (ALCO) as our legitimate governing group. The purpose of the organization is to:
● Provide Arabic Language courses to diverse Arabic-speaking learners and non-Arabic speakers to value and appreciate their Arabic language and culture heritages. Arabic Language courses are offered every Friday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Teachers are volunteer Arabic speaking students.
● Provide a research and educational platform for American ESL teachers and pre-service teachers to know and learn about Arabic language and culture.
● Contribute to WSU scholarship diversity.
A general meeting will be held by ALCO board members once every month. The organization will not discriminate on the basis of age, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, gender, political persuasion, race, sexual orientation, or disability.

We Appreciate Your Support to our Community!
We would like to thank Franklin awesome teachers who were always eager to help our kids learn their first language, very generously open their own classrooms to be used after school on Fridays, and most important they were always very open to other cultures and that is amazing! The Arab community in Pullman-Moscow area were lucky to have such great teachers so thank you Mrs. Strader KG teacher, Mrs. Nelson 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Conley 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Held 3rd grade teacher, Mr. Mangels 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Haller-Gryc ELL Teacher, indeed you're such great teachers in the community.
Thank You Mr. Bruce
This school year 2019-2020 we had to move our program to Jefferson Elementary School to continue teaching our kids their own language and culture. It was a fortunate to work with Mr. Bruce (Jefferson Elementary School Principal) who always welcomes everyone and who is very open to other cultures in the community, and who believes all children are capable of success, NO EXCEPTIONS! Thank you Mr. Bruce for all your hard work! Your support and help will never be forgotten!
